Tea Party Favors

Choosing tea party favors is one aspect of a traditional tea party where you can really get creative.

Local thrift stores are great places to get party favor ideas. You can find interesting containers and other favor components. And inexpensive too, which we think is always a good thing.

Okay, Now Onto the List

We hope these ideas will inspire your search for the perfect tea party favors for your special celebration:

  • small mason jars filled with homemade vanilla-infused sugar, along with vintage teaspoons from a thrift store
  • mismatched teacups and saucers (also from a thrift store)
  • loose teas wrapped in muslin pouches and tied with ribbon or fabric
  • large cookies in the shape of teacups or teapots, decorated with colorful icing
  • fancy brooches from a thrift store (put them in a basket and let your guests
  • choose their own)
  • small mason jars filled with loose teas and a tea ball
  • decorated sugar cubes (either store-bought or decorated by you with food dye or food coloring pens), tucked into pretty favor boxes
  • jars of lavender honey (imported from France if you can!)
  • small journals or scrapbooks with a blank slot for a photo on the cover in which you place a pressed flower or special quote
  • homemade bookmarks made with pressed flowers, laminated, and strung with ribbon
  • pretty tea towels rolled up and tied with coordinating fabric ribbon
  • decorative soaps tucked into silk pouches
  • vintage tea tins (with tea or without)
  • silver teacup or teapot charms for a bracelet or necklace
  • old tea cups filled with wax and made into candles (soy wax won't leave black marks on the cup when the candle is used)
  • lavender-filled sachets
  • mini bottles of a favorite liqueur (for putting in your tea when the kids aren't looking)
  • liquor-filled chocolates
  • crystallized sugar on swizzle sticks
  • your favorite recipe for scones or cookies printed on handmade paper, rolled and tied with ribbon (an attached cookie cutter in the shape of a teapot or other tea-related object would be a nice touch)
